2016 is going to be a better year for me. I'm determined to pick up more books and these are 10 that I'll definitely be reading. And picking 10 is probably the hardest thing I've ever done. I decided to make a list of books by authors I've read previously. That way it was easier . . . whether they're sequels or just a new book by an author.
In no particular order . . .
The Winner's Kiss by Marie Rutkowski
I need this finale and I need it now. This book is probably one of the prettiest written books I've ever read. It's so lyrical and magical and Marie is a genius. Not mention my love for Macmillan right now for listening to the fans and releasing the final book (hardcover) with it's origial cover to match the rest of the series.
Soldier by Julie Kagawa
I need more of Riley. I need more of Ember. I just need more of this story.
Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry
I need this book. If for nothing else than for glimpses of Chevy. But honestly, I'm intrigued to read Razor's story.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
I need more Lucien. Yes, you read that right. Lucien. I loves him. A lot. But I also need more of everyone. Yes, I'm greedy like that.
The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson
I NEED THIS BOOK. SO BAD. Just thinking about this book has my stomach doing weird flips. I might hyperventilate when I get hold of this book. The feels. It will kill me.
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West
I adore Kasie West's books. Seriously. I don't read much contemporary but anything she writes, I need in my life.
Throne of Glass #5 by Sarah J. Maas
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
I never thought I'd be dying for the next book of Leigh's but I am. I'm sad it's a duology but I'm also excited that I won't have to wait for an additional book. We all know how awful the wait truly is.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
I loved An Ember in the Ashes and I was so freaking estactic when they announced there would be a sequel. I'm greedy and was hoping there would be more than one but I will take what I can get.
The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh
The Wrath and the Dawn was amazing. Absolutely stunning and I am anxiously awaiting it's follow up. I need this book. Please. I need this book sooooo bad.
Gemina by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
I literally just finished reading Illuminae today so I am adding this to my list because it needs to be. I know it now makes it 11 but I still feel like that's pretty great of me to get this narrowed down to only 11. The first book was bloody brilliant and I need more. I will be listening to this on audio again.
What are you looking forward to in 2016?
If you already preordered all these books on my top 11 (which I might ask, why aren't we friends yet?) and would rather have another 2016 preorder, I'm flexible. Or if you hate all my choices (shame on you) and want to win a free book anyway, I guess I'll be nice. Tis the season and all, right? ;-)
This giveaway is open to everyone. Anywhere. If Book Depository ships to you, I ship to you. You have until the end of 2015 to enter. I choose the winner on January 1, 2016. Clock stricks midnight here on the East Coast and you've run out of time.
